My home in 5 months - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

February 23rd, 2006, 15:13 i got a call that has influenced all the next year of my life.
To make it clear, from July 2006 I'm moving to Dubai for one year, to work in AIESEC MC, as Vice President for Incoming Exchange. This time i'll give you short insight of where I will be for next 12 months:)

The United Arab Emirates is situated in the Eastern of the Arab World. It overlooks the Gulf of Oman to the East and the Arabian Gulf to the North. The Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman are linked by the Hormuz Strait. The UAE is thus positioned at an important in the world of trade

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates or states, each with its own unique character and personality but yet united with a common goal and destiny. The seven emirates are : The capital Abu Dhabi, Dubai - the place of my residence, Sharjan, Ajman, Umm Al-Qaiwan, Ras Al-Khaimanh, and Fujairh.

The official language of the UAE is Arabic. Other languages spoken are English, Hindi, Farsi. English is widely spread and used in business. So I hope that will work for me:)

Dubai is the second largest emirate in the U.A.E. Its total area is around 1000 square miles.
The city of Dubai is divided by the famous Dubai creek or Khor. This natural harbour, and Dubai's strategic location on the international trading map has made it one of the world's leading trading and commercial centers.

The Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, succeeded his father in 1990.

Dubai's attractiveness not only lies in its trade. Like the rest of the U.A.E., it has also been actively promoted as a tourist destination.

Just a short insight of where it is and how it looks like.Latter there will be more post of AIESEC in UAE.

Happy day!
